Drones made with an analog modular synth. The drones are generated by a generative patch.

A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. Hope you understand. . . Pardon my english. Why this. Answer. I have to start adding something like this to my patches. But i use 3 lfos for this :-/ thats about all i got - right now. The alm pip slope works fine as an lfo too. Square wave this time. Take a close look.

A krell patch and short sample and hold tones. Okay even the krell gets pitch cv from a sample and hold. The short sample and hold tones are panned with help of chaos. I use two nlc sloth lfos to control the panning. The speed of the short sample and hold tones are controlled by two mixed lfos from bmc 2lfosh. Reverb from spring reverb and delay from an anlog delay stomp box. Please suggest some tags i should have used. . . !.

Started with me playing with doepfer a-146-2 as gate delay. Went on using it as a wave shaper. Went on and on. . . It's not a very big patch. But the outcome is nice. It's a mix of chaos and random. Yes i'm using jerk off and sloth. Analog modular synth fun.

Suddenly you realize that you have made a patch that sounds strange. . . But that okay!.

Soothing bells calming your mind. Kind of getting radiohead kid a vibes over here.

I used daw renoise to edit basic shepard tone and made this real. I hope you like it.

This sound/track is made with a modular synth and a zoom ms-70cdrwith spacehole reverb and stereocho chorus effect. The music is a patch controled by some random andlfos. I'm not interfering at all.

Had a patch. Changed speed, attack and delay time. Got this. A bubbly noisy landscape. At the end i dissconect the "main lfo". The one thats makes things advance. But beyond that i get sounds.

Anyway here in using a feedback loop on the quadra envelope generatorstrange effect with long pausesi use quantizer on thisnoise from jupiter storm. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - about 17 sec - goodonly short sounds - no and yes, good this timeamplitude variation - yep goodpitch variation - yep, enough, goodtimbre variation - could say somusical value - i should consider this musicalentertaining - hmm. . . Interesting.

Yep, i'm reading allen stranges "electronic music: system, techniques and controls". Interesting from start. This is a patch made with lessons from chapter 5. 20 modules involved. The ending is just modular freak-out. . . Whit the turn of one pot. . . Leading to some nice sound fx.

Triggers chain reacting function generators"boom/booiing" trigered "by" logic - nor i thinkjupiter storm is one voicejupiter storm also modulates the other voice that goes through wave rectifyingjerkoff modulates jupiter storm, a trigger goes back to jerkoff and jupiter is modulating it self. . . A few kicks and snares synthesized a long time ago on a novation xiosynth 25, could be useful for sound-design and sample layering, they have an analog drum machine feel to it.

A self modulated a-110. A self modulated bermuda through filter with some res. Barton analog drum, spring reverb and analog delay stompbox. Sxxxe (you know what) sound is imperfect wave forms, or. . . ?.

Not gonna explain about this one much. Basicly i just made a simple patch on my virus c hardware synth which consists of 2 osc's (sine / saw), osc2 slightly detuned from the osc1. Fast pitch envelope on both osc's to get the "punch" part in the kick. Ran through virus's lowpass/bandpass filters, lowpass cutting from 100% to 0% with a speed of 1/4 beats to get a "filtering down" effect to the kick, bandpass rejecting slightly frequencies from a range of 400-600hz. Then i sampled it, many times and picked the best sample. Eq->distort->eq->distort million times and this is the result. Ofc i did some cutting and added some lowpass/bandpass filters with various mix levels @ some points and did some other shit also but basicly it's just eq & distort. Hf, its a decent kick but needs some fixing still since the punch is too separate from the bass.

I use a voltage controlled lfo (vclfo) for this experiment. When i send a trigger to the lfo it resets and start over again. In this example i'm using a sinus wave output. I send the output, the sinus wave, to1 - a sample and hold (s/h) module2 - a quantizer3 - straight to vco. The s/h and the quantizer are triggered at the same time. Even an envelope a generated with the same trigger. All three sounds are controlled by this envelope. First out we have s/h (left)second straight to vco (right)third the quantized (center). As usual its fun to take a real close look at the wave!.

Boring sound. . . Neuron patch (?). . . Inspired by nlc squid axon (i have saved some hp for that one!) i have patched up a simple 2 stage asr with 2 s/h. Most of the time it plays its atonal melody, but when the patch is stimulated (by a sloth lfo) feedback opens up. I can adjust the sensitivity in different ways (so i can simulate the intake of drugs. . . ). The sound from the oscs goes though vcfs with some resonance. The vcfs are controlled by the same sloth lfo. My neuron patch. . . No hands during recording. My favourite part is when nothing happens - for almost 1 min?! but you can hear the filter working via the vcfs. The cv must be in some strange area.
